SMACNA Standards
Independent Sheet Metal is a member of the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors' National Association (SMACNA). We follow their technical standards and manuals when fabricating and installing all of our ductwork. These standards have found world-wide acceptance by the construction community, including local and national government agencies. ANSI, the American National Standards Institute, has accredited SMACNA as a standards-setting organization.
State of the Art Equipment
Our shop is located in Riverdale, NJ and is approximately 30,000 SF. Within this space, our equipment includes two plasma arc sheet metal cutting machines, a Welty automated ductline, and an insulation-cutting water jet. These machines are numerically controlled through the software program Autodesk Fabrication CAMduct. All other shop machines are manually operated. These include punches, brakes, shears, welders, and various other specialty metalworking equipment.
